Mission Statement
To oversee, establish, maintain and promote the playing of the Great Highland Bagpipes and Drums within the membership of the Burlington Fire Department primarily to reflect the values of, and to act as an ambassador on behalf of the Burlington Fire Department, the Burlington Professional Firefighters’ Association and the City of Burlington; to foster good will toward the City of Burlington and its citizens, the Burlington Fire Department and the Burlington Professional Firefighters’ Association; and to provide, through music, emotional support, and solace to the family and friends of fellow firefighters who have sacrificed their lives in the line of duty. This organization fulfills this objective by performing as a bagpipe and drum band.
